Independent Consultant
After graduating from Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in Art History, I started working as a full time travel consultant December 1976. My thesis was on the challenge of collecting hotel and car rental commissions. I earned my CTC, DS, and MCC, was president of St. Louis SKAL (second woman) and president of the St. Louis chapter of Women in Travel. Early on for 20 years, my specialties included sending 11 year old boys' baseball teams from the Greater St. Louis area on exchange trips to play baseball and have homestays to many international destinations (but, mainly Japan). For years, I also enjoyed sending groups of Parkway School teachers on custom group trips.
I began working for Altair and Cruises September 1996, where I also brought on my dear friend, Diana Hardy. While at Altair, I went on to become an ASTA member on my own and attended a number of international ASTA conventions. One of my favorite, big bookings was a GIANTS group on Azamara.
